Fialka emerged in 2023 under the guidance of Ekrem Pilgir, hailing from Eskişehir, Turkey. This platform was conceived for individuals who embrace art and fashion as integral aspects of their lives, drawing inspiration from their passions. The inception of Fialka was deeply influenced by the cherished memory of our founder’s late mother, who epitomized a lifelong devotion to these pursuits. Her fondness for nurturing violets, coupled with an enduring affection for this delicate flower, served as a guiding force behind the establishment of Fialka. With roots tracing back to Crimea and Eastern Europe, our founder discovered resonance in the word “fialka,” meaning violet in the Slavic language family, finding it apt to encapsulate the essence of this platform. At Fialka, we believe that art has the power to inspire, transform, and transcend boundaries.
“Fialka” (фіалка) is the Ukrainian word for “violet,” referring to the flower or the color. In Russian, it’s spelled similarly as “фиалка” and means the same thing. Additionally, “fialka” is also the name of a cryptographic machine developed and used by the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
